Our Story

SETSHIRi is a Setswana word with no direct translation, however the meaning can be translated to a head “full of hair” . It is different from “Moriri.” Our Founder’s hair goes through a lot of phases and sometimes it becomes “setshiri” during the relaxer stretch. This is to show that African hair is versatile, and we have dedicated our time to learning about it and teaching others to do the same.

If we don’t take our hair seriously, no one will.

— K Nkosi, Founder
