HAIRED NOTHING ABOUT HAIR CARE
The hair was freshly relaxed, this is the year 2016 and decided to do a colour treatment to change my look just a bit. At the time I did not even know hair routines were a thing. I left everything to my then stylist.

TRANSITIONED INTO HAIR CARE INSTEAD OF NATURAL HAIR
After failing to transition into natural hair, I started to enjoy my hair. This is back in 2020 where a braid out went wrong but still liked how my hair looked. I started enjoying my hair.

EMBRACED MY HAIR MISTAKES IN A COOL WAY
I went through the trial and error process and my hair took it really bad and here I had just lost some hair. But I did not give up. I WAS DETERMINED to see the whole process through. 2020 gave us so much time to deal with our hair…

WHEN I DECIDED TO "PARK" THE HAIR
In 2022, I started a new job and could not “play with my hair” anymore. This is the time when I saw a hairstyle on instagram and decided to do the very same hairstyle. It was not a protective style.

LAZY HAIR DAYS
Some days you just want to chill and forget about your hair. This is the time when you I was trying to break away from everything including my hair. 2023 was a tough year and anything would do at the time.
-
THE MOTHER OF ALL HIGH MANIPULATION HAIRSTYLES
Another instagram hairstyle I saw and decided to do because of life sometimes is not life-ing and at that moment a hairstyle that will give me a nice look without doing much to the hair is what I needed at the time. 2024 was a filled with a lot experiments.

WHEN ACTIONS SPEAKS LOUDER MY HAIR SPEAKS VOLUME
In 2020, I started realising what a relaxer stretch does to the hair and I enjoyed how my hair looked at the time. It was the most fascinating time of the year in my hair journey.
-
BLUE IS MY FAVOURITE COLOUR THIS ONE IS NOT.
My stylist warned me with this colour treatment but I was too determined to try it and it did not go well but I learned a lot about colour treatments. Like I said 2024 was a year of experiments.
-
THE BUN THAT ATE MY HAIR WHEN ALL I WAS EATING WAS CREAMY CUPCAKES
A lesson on manipulation hairstyles is needed. I learned so much about length retention here and even made a guide on Hair Management. 2024 was so eventful.
-
FAILED BANTU KNOT-OUT KNOCKED ME OUT
I find this really annoying because when I was taking out the bantu-knots my hair looked okay until I used a styling comb. That is when I realised in 2024 that hair care is my forte not styling.

SOMETIMES HAIR BETRAYS YOU.
The bun ate my hair because I thought my hair was strong enough to endure it but every time I would try a curly or wavy hairstyle to “add” some volume to my hair it did not happen. Instead I got this…
-
PICKING UP SOME VOLUME
After going through the damage and recovery mode, my hair was slowly recovering and now I don’t do anything that can take me 20 steps back in my hair care journey. The destination is some place where Volume and length are in proportion and so I do not want any delays.
-
PICKING UP SOME LENGTH
When my hair is freshly relaxed it is bone straight and appears to be thin but after sometime it reverts back thick hair when it’s at least 7 weeks post relaxer.
-
NOT A ONE SIZE FITS ALL JOURNEY
After this experiment, I realised how much I am blessed to see my hair go through all these phases and to be able to dive deep into the subject of hair…
-
BEING HAIRPPY
I have learnt to be hairppy and whenever my hair goes through these phases I get fascinated and feel motivated to continue on.
